The food is always fresh, hot and plentiful. I usually take out, it is pretty small. I haven't had anything there I don't like!!

Since my summer in Greece, I have been craving the food. Finding solid Greek food has been a challenge, but this beat the expectations I originally had. Not only was our server kind, generous and attentive. But the food was delicious and the ambiance of the restaurant made me feel that much closer to Greece. I will be returning for more.

Very authentic Greek place in Mesquite. We were quickly served. Lamb was thinly sliced, almost shaved which I enjoyed. The tzatziki sauce was very good, full of cucumbers. I just wish there was more on the plate!! The dolmas were served hot-- I didn't know that when I ordered. I'm not a fan of them hot but the flavor itself was good. They fell apart very easily and were difficult to share. It feels like a little restaurant you'd pop into in Greece.

I tried this place for the very first time a few days ago and I was not disappointed. I just recently developed taste for Mediterranean food whether it be Greek, Lebanese or Turkish and found this tasty Greek restaurant right in my own backyard. While the place does show a bit of age, it also has a charming appeal with pictures of Yia Yia posted all over the walls. You can truly tell it's a family-owned business. The food was very flavorful and they give you very large helpings. The chicken and pork skewers were cooked to perfection, not at all dry. The original gyro was a very tasty blend of lamb and beef stuffed in a warm soft pita with crisp tomatoes and red onions drizzled with their very creamy and tart tzatziki dressing that tied all that freshness together. The steak fries were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Don't miss their baklava cheesecake it is rich, but not too heavy in my opinion but the serving was definitely large enough for 2 people, so either share or save half for later because it is just as good the next day right out of your fridge! I took my 91 year old Mom whose eyes opened wide when they served her very first Gyro. She was skeptical and immediately said she would not be able to put it away. She didn't leave a morsel! The lunch service was fast and friendly the day we went. And I hear you can take your own wine. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food they give you. I will certainly be dining there more often now that I know about this hidden gem.

Yia Yia's has delicious food and customer service. I called ahead to place my order and the young lady answered my questions and took my order. Everything is prepared fresh to order and if I'm not mistaken, all of their sauces are made in house along with their desserts. I ordered the Pork Souvlaki in Pita W/ Steak Fries and my husband ordered the Lamb and Beef Souvlaki with steak fries and a greek lasagna. For dessert we had the Loukoumades ( donuts ) and they were very good. I will be returning soon to try other items on the menu. Family owned with great food and customer service.
